comMEDIAcate is a huge board game, in which the players represent their pawn in a game themselves. The goal of the game is to playfully introduce the modern digital world of children and teenagers to adults.
The game was materialized by Christine Geilich for MuK Hessen.
The huge playing field is printed on rugged truck canvas. It is divided up into quarters and each of them represents one of the four topics: social networks, smartphone, television and digital games. The players have to answer questions of each topic while rolling the big foam dice and moving around on the playing field. More fun and competition comes into the game by playing “activity cards”, which give the players the opportunity to manipulate other players and give themselves a little advantage.
